Planty

Poster design, 2028. MoBY: Museum of Bat Yam
Group exhibition, curated by Hila Cohen-Schneiderman

Planty, curated by Hila Cohen-Schneiderman, seeks to apprehend the transformative potential of the everyday object and acts to expand it. This potential is based on playing with and experiencing materiality through cheap, readily available, ordinary objects, in which a spiritual and infinite quality is discovered.

The spiritual circular movement in the exhibition was visualized in the poster with spiral shells (based on illustrations by Ernst Haeckel). While the shells refer to the city’s name (“Bat Yam” means mermaid in Hebrew), their shape creates the name of the exhibition in Hebrew – “Shefa”.
